I hope your wedding is lovely and I'm sure it will be. I think an outdoor wedding is a beautiful idea. Just make sure to have a back up plan for rain, and you might want to think of renting a large tent. If you have your wedding in a naturally lovely setting like a garden you will need to spend less on decorations. Maybe your site could inform the theme of your wedding. For instance, for a garden wedding, you could give something like daffodil bulbs as favors.

Think about what the weather is likely going to be like in the area when you are married, and get married when the temperature and weather are at the most comfortable.

I think there is a book called The Everything Book for Outdoor Weddings (I might have the title slightly wrong but you get the idea). It would be in the Wedding Section of a major bookstore. I wish you all the best on your life together.

If he's going to be in uniform, then you should be in a wedding gown. Yes, you had a 'court' wedding, but now you are entitled to the picture perfect wedding you've both dreamed of. And as he has been away in Iraq, this will give you a chance to start all over again, with a second honeymoon and all. Go ahead, be a romantic. Find a frothy creation, all in white, and watch his eyes light up when he sees you in it.

Here is one idea. Gather up your photos, write the story of how you met and got engaged, then get him to write his memory of your story. Then make an iMemoryBook.

I was trying to decide what to give my roommate (one of me best friends) for his wedding present. After seeing iMemoryBook I came up with a great idea. I convinced Derek and Wendy to write "He said...She said" stories about the way they met and the way they got engaged. Then using iMemoryBook's invitation system I sent invitations to all of his family and friends, in Utah, and all of her family and friends, in California. Then I watched the book grow online. I was amazed at how smoothly this book grew with the iMemoryBook system. Over 70 people got online, viewed and contributed to the book. The final book had over 200 photos, 75 entries(memories), and 100+ pages, iMemoryBook has helped me create something I wouldn't have even imagined possible.
