When we are together, it is the best feeling in the world, but when we are on the phone or IMing each other, it feels like the relationship is dying. Is this bad or good or doesn't matter? In person, we are great together, but over phone or IM, we barely talk.

well its hard to tell for anyone over the Internet. my boyfriend and i barely talk on the phone or online, but when we are in person, theres never a silent moment, unless its one of those times when its better when things are left unsaid. your girlfriend might just not be a great conversationist, or she just doesnt know what to say over the phone or something. it doesnt necessarily mean your relationship is dying, it could just be that she feels more natural when shes actually around you.

I am an introvert but I can write and do things differently on the computer or with paper. Everyone is different. Try and find the joy that maybe you just light her all up. You could possibly feel the same way. Enjoy your time together.

Girlfriends are odd, period.
I wouldn't worry about it though, some people don't much like to talk on the phone or anything...if she doesn't do the same thing when she's on the phone with her other friends, you could probably question it, but things like that aren't really worth beating yourself up over....there'll be plenty of other, more important things.
