The earliest is 6 weeks. But the best age is 8 weeks.

Please don 't take my word for this because I'm not positive, but I think 8 weeks old. They should be off of their mother's milk and eating kitten food, and have all the beginning shots before they are given away. Again, I'm not sure, so don't trust me. ;)

The longer they stay with Mom, the better adjusted and well behaved they will be. Mom shows them much more than just eating and using the litter box. She also teaches them hunting, manners, and loving. Keep them a few weeks longer for their and their future owners sake. Good luck!

They need to have at least completed their 7th week but preferably they need to be 8 weeks or older.

Most states have laws that make it illegal to buy, sell, give away or adopt any puppy or kitten that has not completed it's 7th week.

Yes, about 7-8 weeks is perfect. We they stop drinking milk and their momma has taught them to eat solid food use the litter box and all that jazz. Them you will know the time is right. I got mine whe she was about 10 weeks old. Because we had to be on vacation she was ready 2 weeks before we got her.

8 weeks should be the earliest. This has given them all the antibodies provided from nursing the mom and she has taught them thru example how to groom themselves, using the litter box and in general a sense of how to be a feline.

Six weeks is about the minimum age to be separated from their mom. The rule is that they should eat solid food by themselves. Offer some kitten chow and see if they eat it. If they do, they can leave their Mom.
