Depends on the type and the quality. High quality liquors can be good for almost eternity (there are Egyptian liquors that can still be enjoyed today). Although beers and wines have an expiration date. Beers last only a matter of months while wines may last years. Wines still have a climax date when they are ideally aged for best quality and then they begin to decrease in quality. Poor quality liquors will settle and probably will not be good for drinking after a couple of years. Although in truth you will still get drunk drinking virtually any alcoholic beverage whenever.

in my experience, high proof alcohol like liquors (vodka and brandy) tend to evaporate into the air over time. a shot of it can evaporate within 10-12 hours. as far as beer goes, it will lose its carbonation pretty quick, a couple of hours tops but the alcohol in the beer will probably follow the same evaporation time as liquor.

for the rest of your life. only in moderation though. a couple beers or drinks a day doctors say can help your heart. do not mix alcohol with any medication. unless your phys. says its OK.
