The same thing happened to my best friend, except he went to live with his grandmother and step-grandfather. He was emancipated because his step-grandfather was a horrible person. He drank a lot, and had a tendancy to hit him. Now he's just staying with a friend. He still goes to our school. Also, he has a part time job. He seems to be doing much better off than when he was living with the grandparents. As of now he's 16, but this all happened a year ago, so he was your age. I hope that helps a bit.
Good luck and God bless.

Try either of the links below. The one that is courts.state.ny has many links for child protection, and that is what you need. You should not just put yourself out on the open market, hoping whoever buys you a plain ticket is a decent person. So many are not. Your Aunt is probably overwhelmed because of her cancer and the anger stage is popping up it's ugly head. She would probably help you to be emancipated if you were old enough to make a living. Unfortunately at 15 you will make very little, and your life would be worse than putting up with verbal abuse. Be strong for now and get in touch with the authorities. They will help you.
Be wise, and be safe! Don't do anything foolish, and/or dangerous. Asking strangers to take you in without going through social services is dangerous.
Best wishes

First, let me say how sorry it is to hear about your parents. Second, you should not have to be abused by your Aunt. I would suggest that you contact your local church and discuss this with them. I would also contact the department of social services. Do not, pursue anything or anyone you may find on Yahoo. You do not know who you are dealing with and you may wind up getting hurt (both emotionally and physically) or even worse. Go through established and reliable agencies. You should also consider seeking a foster home. Be especially aware of anyone who would ask you if you inherited any money or were getting any insurance money because of the accident. Please be very careful! Also, consider speaking to your school guidance department.

umm, I think the younger you are, the better chance you get of being adopted (unfortunately). Why not just get emancipated or live with another relative.
