I ask this question after seeing the new James Bond movie Casino Royale. He is poisoned, so he grabs a glass, empties an entire salt shaker into it, adds water and drinks it. I figured this would cause him to vomit the mixture along with the poison. I am not questioning the movie tactic just wanted to know if this is a good thing to do if someone ingests poison, I would not want to try this and not have it work as that amount of salt is not healthy if it is not vomited. Thanks!

MAYBE IT IS NOT GOOD TO HAVE TO MUCH SALT WATER

You've got the right idea...in a pinch it'll do the trick, but it's not good for you. You could end up poisoning yourself all over again. Syrup of ipecac is a better thing to use, but the best idea, as another poster said, it to call the Poison Control Center before attempting anything. If you've ingested a caustic substance than the last thing you want to do is vomit it up.

No but it does poison you ever more becaue salt absorbs alot of water in the blood and eventually killing them plus also damaging your liver even more. And the salt can also make your other organ to not work properly.
To solve your questioin no . The best way is to poke your uvila with your finger.
And he did that so that the salt would absorb the poison

Yes. 3 tablespoons of salt into 16 ounces of warm water will create a good emetic. But, do not drink too much. Too much will be deadly.

I saw that this weekend as well and made it a point of reference. A lot of overdose instructions are to induce vomiting. I would imagine this would work well.

Yes it would. Too much of anything is bad: Too much salad, too much meat, and too much water, etc.

Just use it in moderation, and you'll be fine.
