I haven't heard of ankhsoft.com. It looks legit, but it's hard to tell. I'm a little put off by the idea of downloadable OEM software, but as long as there are legit, unique keys that's not much of a concern I guess.

OEM software is "original equipment manufacturer" software. It refers to the "free" software you get when you buy a computer or computer accessory. If you got a copy of WordPerfect with your computer, that was an OEM program. If your drawing pad came with Photoshop, that was an OEM version of Photoshop. Many times, it is a violation of the OEM license to buy OEM software without a corresponding hardware purchase, so some OEM resellers make you buy a broken hard drive for a $1 or something to make it more legit.

OEM software comes without any fancy packaging, at a lower cost, and *may* have stricter licensing terms. You are usually expected to go to the manufacturer of the hardware for support with that piece of software. For example, if you buy an OEM copy of Windows XP, Microsoft is probably going to tell you to complain to HP when you start having problems.
