The revolver has 3 patent dats on it 1871, 1872. & 1875. It is a .22 caliber with a round barrel. I know it is antique, what I need to know i s the model of the gun. I know it isn't a 1, 1&1/2, 2, or 3. It might be an American but I'm not sure.

Go to kellys blue book of guns or take it to a gun shop chances are they will have a book with more info on it

The S&W hand guns made back in those days did Not have model numbers..You might need t go to the S&W site and look it up
