I can't believe that you're more scared by the fact that she'll go to hell than by the fact that she's dying! Unbelievable!

say the average age to live is 80 or so on earth, does any of that matter if i could spend 10000000000 with her in heaven?

She needs to know her family loves her, is there for her, and that there IS a reason to live. But you can't make up that reason for her. She needs to find her own reason! It sounds to me like she needs counseling, not religion, especially if she's an atheist. You don't want to totally upset her and judge her (which is what you're doing - imposing your own beliefs on her).

If you knew what the Bible itself Really teaches, you wouldn't be talking like that. It isn't a place of conscious torment, nor a place of consciousness at all. Perhaps she knows that, & that's one reason she wants to die -- to Stop the Pain she experiences in living.

I post only a few of the hundreds of articles on that Web site, having picked out several that seem to fit your present needs best. You may want to share some of them with your sister, perhaps printing out 1 at a time to leave with her. If told that it is something new you're learning, & you'd really like to know what she thinks about it, maybe she'll look at it. At this stage it sounds like she may not feel like doing Anything for herself. But, maybe, for you ...

My apologies for this being so long ... I included the sub-titles of each article --and sometimes subheadings within articles-- to help you find what you're looking for more quickly. When a loved one is in the hospital, we Never seem to have enough time ...

I hope that your sister finds the True Purpose of life!

There are many more articles -- for instance, about God's existence & why we can believe in him-- on that same Web site. These can be found via Index or the on-site Search.

*These URLs may change soon. After that, the Advanced Search at http://watchtower.org/search/search_e.htm will find the new web addresses.

I convey my deepest sympathies in concern to your sister. However I don´t think you should worry yourself to much about hell. There is no possibility for anyone to be completely sure what will happen after death. Even if there were why should a benevolent god want to punish a creature as simple as man. Religion was created by man to ease the discomfort felt at contemplating what comes after death, the ilogical and the unknown. The other reason is that religion has always been a business. Hell sells and you are paying in this case. They would have you believe that whatever good deeds you may do in this world if you ´don´t believe in god you will go to hell. I like to believe that no god would demand such belief through the fear of hell but would earn it through acts of wonder and kindness. Ask yourself this question is god important for you or is it that they made it important for you

Keep on praying for her. When I am at a complete end of things I can do to help a situation get better I spend time fasting and praying.

Mathew 17:21 "But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting" Jesus was talking about spiritual warfare here.

Ask others to pray for your sister too. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. Keep on loving your sister the way Jesus keeps on loving us.

Your sister has her own path. You should show her YOUR love, not Jesus's or somebody else's. As for going to hell, there's no proof hell even exists. The fact that you or others believe in it doesn't make it more real. I can't believe that you're more scared by the fact that she'll go to hell than by the fact that she's dying! Unbelievable!

Pray and love her.
Let her know that YOU care.

Telling her that she is going to go to hell if she dosent accept Jesus, isent the way to help her now.
You have to pray, and get anyone and everyone you can to pray for the lord to show himself to her and save her. He will and he has. Have faith in your lord. Dont stop praying.

Dont listen to the negitave stuff on here you only need positive things now. PRAY!
I will pray for you and your sister!
with love

it rather isn't any longer for us to go with a definite dying door. yet, in case you ask which one is appropriate and honorable, i might say the door, that we attain doing somewhat good for humanity - Eg, infantrymen combating for our united states of america, a social worker working for the upliftment of a few class of human beings, a well being workers doing somewhat existence saving artwork, a author/artist etc having created a masterpiece to the touch the hearts of the multitude....do you go with extra examples? i in my view have self assurance that one ought to march in the direction of dying with a selfless strategies-set. that's what i might call suited and honorable.

such an important matter requires much prayers. You do not have the power in words to save her life. When faced with something so important I do not rely upon myself. I go into prayers until I receive advice or en powered by the spirit to move out. You defeat the enemy through your prayers first by pulling down the strongholds that have taken her captive. You then move out after you have been directed by God in what to say and how to say it. You are then moving out in HIS power not your own.

You have your testimony and that's more powerful then you know. Hang in there. I will pray for her and you. It is hard for a Christian to understand that life without Jesus is really pretty worthless and void. It is hard for a non Christian to understand when they get to that point that there is any reason to live at all. You are up against a huge task but 1+(GOD) = GOD! As long as there is a heart beat, there is hope.
May GOD richly bless you.

Emily, I'm so very sorry. Ask her if she would pray with you, just once. Let her hear your prayer for her. Let her hear your love of Christ, your trust in Him.

And please, ignore those that have no feelings for your dying sister that pretend to answer you here. I'll pray for the both of you, God Bless you.
