we have to obligation to judge behavior, because we have to determine if it is right or wrong, and whether we will be part of the behavior.
We do not judge the motive behind the behavior, or the eternal destiny of the individual soul.

Depends what you mean by judging, and about what?
Juries have the right to judge or determine the guilt or innocence of an individual.
Churches have the right and obligation to judge an errant member (See Matthew 18 and 1 Corinthians 5).
If a friend robs a liquor store, gets caught and ends up in jail and I visit him, I would hold him accountable for his actions (Is this judging)?
I think you need to think through your question a little bit more, and ask yourself exactly what you are trying to ask.

IF you do judge, be prepared to be judge yourself by those you are judging. It is only for God to judge.
2 Chronicles 19:6 And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
1 Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

No..when people quote that verse"Judge not lest ye be judged", it is usually taken out of context. That verse is talking about HYPOCRISY ! It's speaking of someone who's rebuking someone else of a particular sin while practicing the VERY same sin in their OWN life! We are supposed to rebuke sin; in the church; for example we are to bring two or three witnesses and go to a brother (or sister) and talk to them of their sin, WHY? to restore fellowship. That is ALWAYS the intent, or at least it's supposed to be. Yes, we are allowed to judge, but NOT hypocritically!

rather, its unecessary 4 us 2 create the karma of judgement.
and God assesses, he doesnt judge b'cos he doesnt need 2.
judgement is usually an attempt 2 justify ourselves competitively with others, and usually involves havin harsh perceptions of people.
we should be like our father and assess and not judge, and the difference isnt necessarily the thought, but the intention we have 4 assessing this individual: r we usin each other harshly 2 feel better about ourselves or are we assessin this person for a loving reason?

Leaving God out, on a humanistic level, no it's not good to judge and/or criticize if personally each one of us have faults. Of course, this is all inclusive for every damned Homosapien standing on this mudball planet, yuh?

We can judge whether something is a sin or not but, we can not judge the fate of someone, if that is what you mean.

i totally agree
even in the cases of what appears to be sinful to one person .. may not be sin in the eyes of God ... as God can see the situation that arose to create this so called sin
we should never judge
