I like the idea of a family crest tattoo, but I have to say that personally I think it's an odd place to put an image honoring your family. It's hidden and slightly sexual, not exactly the things I'd want to associate with my family, but if you like the placement, then it's a good spot.
I think you might want to go to a more experienced artist and ask for them to touch it up. With some shading, and a thickening of the edges, maybe some white highlights, it could have a more striking effect and look more interesting.

I'm thinking of getting my family crest tattooed as well, same idea as yours with different colors.
The important thing is that YOU like it and that it has meaning to you. Cool picture too!

Well I am not sure what it means - it looks like some sort of crest. It probably has some meaning to you or you wouldn't have chosen it. It looks a little amatuerish but it's hard to say that for sure from the little picture. It won't affect your appearance in that location. Not too many are likely to see it there. If you like it that's really all that matters.

What is it? Obviously it must mean something to you but I don't really like it to be perfectly honest. Sorry I don't mean to offend...I'm just really picky about tats - It's taken me about a year to decide what I want for my 7th and still can't decide where I want it!!! LOL
