Hi try and download some of the free video lessons you get for PS with magazines from limewire or an equivelant - these are great - also if your just starting up you should by yourself the official adobe photoshop classroom in a book - its got a disc with all the files you want - and very easy to get through!
Still i find the videos the best - great watching someone else do it then trying to achieve the same results !
