Because you're a teen and you're his daughter.

I am not sure but I have had this argument with a friend of mine who is a single father with two teenage daughters because he does the same thing. Men seem to think that just because sex is always on their mind that we are the same way. Men also have a hard time trusting boys because they know what they were like as teenagers (this is something that my husband told me). He says that he was sneaky and acted nice and respectful but was always trying to get into a girl's panties and your dad was probably the same way. If you aren't doing anything wrong don't feel bad because it's your dad's problem (or guilty conscience) not yours.

It may not be you he doesn't trust...it may be because your father was once the age of the friends you hang out with and knows how persistent they are. Their hands are quicker than a magician and no matter if you say no or not, they are like the Energizer Bunny and just keep going and going. By the way...when they become men, they don't change much... :o) They only swap their toys for bigger toys such as muscle cars and street bikes and such. Did you ever tell your dad that he can trust you because he has raised you right? Try that on him....that may make him proud and and win you some points as well.

He was once a young teenager / young man and knows how it is out there! If you're not having sex, then have a serious talk with your dad and let him know what you think about the guys that are around you and your point of view(s) of sex right now in your life. That might make him more comfortable with the idea of you being around guys at this time in your life.

Fathers are very protective of their daughters. It seems some previous experiences has left him unable to trust the young men you're hanging out with. Perhaps even because of some experiences in his own young adult life. Just sit down with him and have a heart to heart talk.

Its not that he doubts YOU, its that from the ages of 10 till the time they die, boys think about SEX alot! At young ages, boys will often try many ways to convince you to have sex, or pressure you into doing so. Just be careful and wait for when you are ready. He doesnt want you to end up 16 and pregnant and end up on welfare. I think thats most dads worst nightmares.

Fathers don't doubt their daughters they doubt the boys they hang out with. Think about that and just humour your father but also let him know you a more responsible than to go have random sex with a stranger. He will respect you for that.

You're father is afraid, I think, of two things. That you will have sex too early or/and with the wrong boy and that you will be hurt.
And I think every father has some difficulties with accepting that there little baby has grown up into a full or almost full grown up able to intercourse like adults.
He's scared you get hurt, he wants to protect you and I think thi is his really goofy way of showing it.

A lot of fathers are suspicious of their daughters. They think (correctly) that young boys are obsessed with sex and they are afraid that their daughter will end up giving in to one of those boys.

That's why your dad is like that - he thinks he's trying to "protect" you from being sexually active with boys, by constantly questioning you like that.

It's a Father's job to protect you in the right way,but not accuse you of having sex.

Jealousy, and it makes fathers realize how quickly time has passed by. In a way it is natural.

Don´t let it bother you , as long as stays within "reason".

Enjoy.
