Not nuked - I live east of the UK and there is a prevailing wind coming in off the Atlantic. However, the question is valid and should be considered seriously. I just hate all those adults imitating children's voices. How's a child going to learn to speak normally? Top of my Yuk scale. When looking at the news headlines on Teletext(Ceefax) in the morning I turn off the sound.

Teletubbies provided hours of fun to infants and E-heads. A great social service, if you ask me.
On the other hand, Britain also gave the world Russel Grant, Elizabeth Hurley and the Sinclair C5. I guess you can't win them all.

NO, the kiddies think they are fab. Nothing wrong w/that! Britain gives a lot of fab things, including the teletubbies to keep everyone's kids entertained and glued to the tv!

BRITAIN gives us Top Gear and Fifth Gear (motoring programs). All is forgiven! Personally I think that (not the whole of US) but just the staff that create Barney need some 'help' and sanctions from the UN for inflicting such a curse on the world!
