.......what is stopping them from giving up all and going out and performing works for God?The reason"God hasnt called me yet" seems weak,evasive and quite frankly a cop out.Is there another reason(Dear where are the keys to the gas guzzling SUV?Are they on the second house in the country keys or the boat keys?)

I think I understand your very pointed question.
For starters. All Christians aren't rich. All Christians don't own 2 cars and a boat. And not all Christians are married.
Second, how do you identify God's work? You could the read the bible and give to the poor and all those nice things. The problem is the con men that try to take advantage of this. So to do this correctly, you have to invest a lot of study.
Further more, you'll never hear about what a Christian has done. Christian rather their charity be done in secret. That's how Jesus told them to do it. And it keeps them from having to fend off other people constantly asking them for money.

People who believe in God, accept His son Jesus, and have secured their place in heaven through their salvation, and can't bring them selves to witness for the Lord, are being held back by satan. IF someone takes their life, thinking that they can get to haven faster, they have been lied to and pushed into that act by satan.
To avoid things such as these, we are to stay in the word, obey that word of God, daily. We are to study God's word daily until we understand it completely.
People have their favorite TV programs they watch religiously, so why not spend some quality time with the Lord the way they do with their TV set, or even their cell phones that has done absolutely nothing for their salvation.

Define "giving up all?" The Bible is very clear what we need to do while we are here on earth and most Christians I know dont live extravagently.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:19
The Christians I know go to church and collectively we work toward these ends But we all know people that claim to be believers and avoid church and dont give back to God.

God don't use sinners to spread Gospel.
People aren't born again believers till they come to christ.
christians don't mean diddle as far as salvation goes.
any sinner can be christian.
american claim christian--means nothing..
believer born from above means all to God.
