baby girl, take a small step. first have some interaction with strangers. like go to the gym or join a social event. the more you talk to strangers and get to know them, the easier you'll feel of talking. but don't join the popular group @ school or trying to be one. that's just not being true to yourself. the key is to build up your self-confident; that's all really matter to you. right?

This is actually a pretty tough question. By nature, some people are more extroverted (outgoing, gregarious) and some are more introverted (quiet, introspective). Neither is better than the other but each has its own advantages in certain situations. Being outgoing or introspective is simply be a part of who you are but if you are wanting to find ways where you can behave in a more extroverted fashion, here are a few suggestions.
Start off by finding a smaller social group (4-6 people) to interact with. Introverts tend to find it easier to be more outspoken and interactive in smaller groups. If there are a couple of extroverts who tend to control the conversation you'll want to keep the number to the lower end (4 people) but if the group is full of other introverts, you might be able to have as many as 10. As you grow comfortable with the group, you should find it easier to stick your neck out there and throw your thoughts into the discussion. These smaller steps can help you get used to the process as you slowly move into interacting with larger and less familiar groups.
Another thing to think about is acting. I have a few friends who act in community theatre (we have many small theatre companies here and the quality of their shows range from average to very good). This handful of friends are ALL introverts, however, when they get on stage and take on the persona of the character they are portraying, they are able to be that extrovert because they aren't being themselves, they "are" someone else.
A similar phenomenon happens with teachers. I have a couple of introverted friends who are teachers and even my sister falls into this group. If you find yourself an opportunity to do something for a group such as teach a small community class, lead a book reading for children at a local library or book store, even becoming a Tupperware, Party-Lite or Pampered Chef representative will all give you opportunities to "take on the roll" of an extrovert and give you opportunities to express yourself in a more "outgoing" way. Hope these ideas help.

smile more and open doors for strangers.
They than say thank you (most the time) this is a good feeling but it also starts a small contact with a stranger and it is not as hard as starting out big change. Than the next time a small thing goes wrong at a restaurant you tell the waiter. Sorry but my steak is cold can you rewarm it. Be nice about it ! once you see that you can approach a stranger and speak your mind you just work up the ladder from there
Learn to say I would like... I think.... I noticed.... start using I. Be nice about it being outgoing does not mean being a bully

1. Become more confident. How do you do that? Pick out three things you like about yourself and focus on them. If you feel self concious, focus on something else.
2. Read up on stuff! Always join the conversation. So, read up on subjects so you can!
3. Go to places in your comfort zone. Like video games? Go to a video game store where you are in your element. Like books? Try the library. Shopping, go to the mall.
4. Start out with approaching one person. Eventually, you will become more comfortable doing that.
5. Have fun! Don't worry about if they are going to judge you. Say what you feel.

Get a friend that is outgoing and hang around with them and then you will eventually get better.
What helped me...you don't say how old you are...I got a job and had to talk to people. I was a greeter. This helped me so much!! I have had some outgoing friends that helped also.

by not asking this question. you are who you are, you can't help that. ask God to help make you a more outgoing person if you're really that desperate.

Practice. you need to do something like public speaking, go streaking, or sing karaoke something that puts you in the spotlight and gets you slightly embarassed so you can see that its no big deal.
