I think its definately gonna happen! Its just a matter of time! With all of the technology involved these days, a third world war could mean the end of mankind. Alot of people say that sense the U.S. is a super power; nobody would ever attack us or have the nerve to try anything. But when you have mad men like the leader of North Korea and The leader of Iran, anything is possible. A third world war would most likely involve nulear, chemical and biological weapons. The loss of life would be off the charts. All it takes is for one man to push the button and thats it! It would be a chain reaction. If Iran attacks Israel, retaliation is inevidable. Once Iran is attacked, you know Russia is gonna back them up! And I don't totally believe that China is on our side either! Once that first shot is fired or that first bomb is dropped, its gonna be a total disaster!

What are we waiting for? I for one embrace the coming horror. I would, however prefer a zombie holocaust since it intails much less residual radiation.

At any given time in history, there are numerous wars and conflicts going on. Currently there are 40+/- conflicts in the world. The only time the WORLD WAR status is attibuted to a war is when the superpowers square off on opposite sides in open declarations of war. We are far from that scenario, altho i agree the spark is there to ignite a larger conflagaration. But for now, just think regional conflicts, proxy wars, brinksmanship, sabre rattling and disagreements between rump states.

When the US, Russia and/or China square, then come back and we'll talk WW III. The history books haven't declared the Cold War as WWIII or the current war on terror as WWIV. You'll know when WWIII hits, that burst of EMP will be your first warning....

As Einstein is often quoted as saying, WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones.... The Superpowers still abide by the MAD doctrine, so we won't be seeing global suicide anytime soon. The mostly likely spark will be from an accidental Russian launch based on the aging early warning systems that think NATO or the US launched an attack.

what was it an author once said about China

"China is like a baby with toys.. It loves em but doesnt quite know what to do with them."

also looking at their politics (and this is what scares me).

"a country with internal problems will externalize"

Iran wants the oil. and i believe 100% if we back out of Iraq, without Saddam in power, we will see Iran make a move.

I agree with you , but i am hoping that the nuclear super powers show some restraint when Pakistan sends a ICBM to Israel or Europe.. Iran is not the issue today.

You might be right. That is why we need regime change in Iran and N. Korea now, before it is too late. That is what the Bush doctrine of spreading freedom and democracy is all about. I hope the policy succeeds. The alternative is frightening.

The root cause of all troubles is the ************* Zionist state. If it is wiped off, alternatively dumped in the American deserts than no ME state would want to acquire nuclear weapons to protect itself. Come on folks lets hope WW 3 starts as early and we witness the "Real Final Solution" to the Jewish Problem and I get to design extermination camps for complete destruction of those Zionist bastards

Take a look into John Titor.

I don't believe he is the real deal, but he has many people convinced. He provides a startling look at the potential WWIII.
