Since the Mexican government is also against the US building a border fence, I think an agreement should be made between US and Mexico that whenever an illegal crosses into the US and gets arrested, the cost of deporting the illegal should come out of the financial aid the US is giving Mexico. Then, maybe then, the ultra corrupt Mexican government will tighten the border themselves as not to allow any illegals crossing into US territory, because if they don't there would be less money in their pockets due to less financial aid coming in.

Because the cost of the round up would be astronomical, the better idea has already been stated, enforce the laws on the books starting with those who employ illegals, no job here means no incentive to come here, it really is that easy but big business doesn't want that, they want a cheap labor supply that drives down wages for all of us, think it through punish those who benefit from the illegal labor

You do realize, I'm sure, that illegal immigrants contribute to the economy. Not only do they take jobs that most Americans view as beneath them, such as fruit picking in the state of Washington, but when they work for a legitimate business, social security and other money is taken from their checks. They will not ever get this money back, and your government keeps it. Instead of being upset with the immigrants, you should ask the government why they won't use this money from about 14 million illegals to pay for better roads, hospitals, and schooling.

How many of yall have heard of the "Sanctuary City"s?? They are protected from deportation by chance. They can be here illegally and go to the hospital, get treated, admit they are illegals, and leave and NOT be deprted. If they are found my chance, without breaking the law, then the law cant deport them. Sanctuary citys are going to be the death of us. Google it. They exist. I dont understand it. Shut down the borders. Deport them. Keep them out. And let America fix Americas problems first. Geez.. this topic gets me heated.

It would make more sense to start penalizing employers who hire illegals. This would make money instead of costing billions of tax-payer dollars and man hours in the legal fees and transportation involved in deportation. And it would be completely effective since the illegals only come here for money and jobs, and they would no longer have that reasont to come here.

True.. But you need to find them first, right? Besides, it takes a lot of money and they already made a negative impact on the USA's economy.

there are too many of them, and believe it or not they are a political force in this country because they have all these groups supporting them. it is crazy but they are here to stay. and even if we did deport them, they would be back in about a week anyway!

You can't just deport everybody. Why would you want to? They do all the work that no one else wants to do and they're good, hardworking, honest people. Yeah, honest, too. Who's job are they stealing? You're mad cuz they work at the McDonald's? Were you gonna work there? Hey, if you want to, go start tracking them down and see how many legal immigrants you violate in the process.

I like the main issue is finding them. They live under the radar.
