Careful. I have a mate who always starts what he can't finish. I've ended up fighting with people who I would never have dreamt of fighting with because of him. I hate it. I don't know what the answer is. I try and nip it in the bud now by telling him to shut up before it kicks off.

Stay away from him once he stays drinking and has more than two, because you don't want to be at the end of his temper friend or not. Also maybe you should mention it to him one day during the day and see what his reaction is, if he gets all defensive and denies it then you know that he has a drinking problem. On the other hand he might open up to you and dmit that he does have a problem and them if he does you can help him, in the meantime be his friend, but be careful

It is a psychological fact that certain people are changed this way by alcohol. It lowers their inhibitions and relkeases a pent up rage that probably comes from some early traumatic experience. There is only one cure: stop drinking.

Lots of good advice here about steering clear. I would follow it as sooner or later, either he will turn on you or will involve you in some incident. If he has an ounce of sense he will give it up.
How about playing him a tape of himself kicking off? Maybe that migh persuade him he has a problem.

There's an old saying.... " Instant Butt-hole... just add alcohol..."
Sometimes folks turn into something completely different when they drink. Some folks will come to terms and recognize it...quit drinking... some don't.... I'd be careful if I was you....

Your friend sounds like an alcoholic. Alcoholism is a progressive disease and will only worsen. I suggest you check out Al-Anon. I'm sorry.

Deep down inside he has problems and alcohol brings them to the surface. Don't let him hurt you. Get him some help or get out.

MAYBE HE HAS INSECURITIES AND HE THINKS THAT HE NEEDS A DRINK TO HELP HIM RELAX AND BE COMFORTABLE,WHY DONT YOU ASK HIM IF THERE IS ANYTHING BOTHERING HIM,THATS WHAT MATES ARE FOR A SHOULDER TO CRY OR ADVICE WHEN NEEDED.
