You most likely have a virus, trojan or malware which attacks the .dll, or Dynamic Link Library. Don't try to fix this from the registry, you are asking for more trouble. If you don't have a really good antivirus program, get one of the good free ones, Avast or AVG. AVG's free version will be replaced in January 2007 with another free upgraded version, so don't be afraid to use it. You also need SpyBot and Ad-Aware, both of which are free from Download.com. Get all three, install and run them. If that does not fix your problem, then do a system restore back to a day before this started happening.

To do a system restore, click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools then System Restore. Pick a date prior to when this all started. Remember that this will remove anything you have downloaded since then, so if you download antivirus, spyware and adware then restore your system, all your downloads will be gone. You might try this first.

One question: Did you download and install Internet Explorer 7? If you did, that may be part of your problem. A system restore will resolve this also, but you can uninstall IE7 yourself and go back to IE6. Your choice.

To uninstall IE7, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and click on the box at the top that says Show updates. After everything loads, find Internet Explorer 7, and remove it. Close Control Panel and restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Hope this helps!
