So far you have gotten a lot of very ignorant, close minded answers and a couple of good ones. First of all, why does she want to become a "witch"? If it because she thinks it is cool she had better think twice. It is not something you should take lightly. You can't just wake up one day & say "I think I'm gonna be a witch" Does not work that way. There is a lot of learning involved. She will be discriminated against. And if you don't believe it, look at some of the answers you have received so far seems to be a lot of ignorance & hate, People she thought were friends will turn against her
We do worship the Goddess and God. Some think it is only the Goddess, but they are mis-informed. We DO NOT even recognize the devil so how could we worhip him? If she wants to worship what the Christians call the one true God, maybe she should stick with Christianity. If she wants to be a witch because of the true nature of being Wiccan she should do a lot of study first and realize that it is a way of life, not a way of worship.

Witches might nicely be of any (or no) faith... so the Gods/Goddesses they worship could rely extra on their faith than their practice of the Craft. certainly Christian Witches experience worshipping YHWH is the only decision. An Eclectic Pagan Witch might choose for a God/Goddess to worship based at this form of existence and components of pastime. nevertheless others, inclusive of Wiccan Witches, many times experience they have been 'pronounced as' into provider by utilising their own God & Goddess.

The site below is very good for information about witchcraft. As far as I'm aware though her beliefs in god would conflict with what witchcraft teaches. I know many christians view it as evil and bad when it really isn't.

No.
Witches worship nature, and those who believe in a deity believe in a god and a goddess. This is not equivalent with worshiping God, Ceator of the world and Father of Jesus, the Christ.

I knows some one who claims to study wicca, so I guess that makes her a witch. She does not believe in God although she used to. She worships the earth(so she says). I think it is hogwash, but all I can do is pray for her soul. Maybe oneday she will come back to Christ.
