These drugs I am taking in their booklets explain how careful you should be around sick people because it's easy to catch things as my imunities are being lowered . When I researched THR (total hip replacement) their biggest side affect after the operation is infection--how can the two work together? Maybe I will have to go off the "omg they work so well drug combination before the surgery". has anyone else been through this situation before or similiar one?

Every doctor has a different opinion on how long before and after surgery you should avoid those meds. Some docs say stop a week before and wait 2-4 weeks after. Others have different time lines. You may in fact have a rheumatologist tell you one length of time and the orthopedic surgeon tell you a different time.
I can't speak from personal experience, just what I've gathered from reading other peoples stories.

My sister in law has been on methotrexate and she had to stop it when she had her recent knee replacement surgery and I believe she had to wait a month or six weeks after the surgery to restart it.
