i always get about 2 coldsores/feverblisters before or after i get sick. i'm just now recoving from a cold and i have like four on my upper lip and even a few above my lip!!!!!! i've never had that hapen to me before. i showed my mom and she just told me to keep putting my abreva on my lip and they will go away. but they seem to be almost, well, almost like spreading! i want them gone by next friday (i have a school play) but the way they are going i'm not sure if they will be gone!
help!
ps-i'm 13 and i've been getting cold sores/fever blisters sense i can ever remeber. and i do know what causes them.

You are stressing so hard, just calm down. Your mom knows what she's talking about, it'll be ok.
I know you want everyone to focus on your mad talents and not your cold sores, but even if they stick around a little you can always toss on a little make-up. From the audience, no one will even know. Your drama teacher will be able to suggest something for show-time to hide them.
A week is a long time, though, you should be ok by then if you calm down and eat as healthy as possible, and drink lots of water.
Are you sure they're the same as always? It could be Impetigo, which is a very common staph infection. But they're probably just fine.

alot of cold sores are a result of the air condition when u go outside! so wear a jacket and keep warm! if that dosent help well im gonna have to say u might have herpes! which is a sexual virus that is uncurable are you sexually active? if so check up on your body from the docter! hope this helps peace!

cold sores are the herpes simplex virus, and often attack when another virus or bacteria makes you ill and raises your body temp.. Just keep using your meds, and if they seem to be getting worse, call your doctor. PS! DON'T KISS ANYONE OR USE ANYONE ELSE'S UTENSILS WHEN YOU HAVE THE BLISTERS, SINCE THE VIRUS IS VERY CONTAGEOUS. ALSO STOP PUTTING THINGS INTO YOUR MOUTH THAT DON'T BELONG THERE, LIKE PENCIL ENDS.

Go to the doctor! There are stronger medicines out there. I think that's the only way to get rid of them that fast.

They are contagious, so if anyone you know gets them don't get too close. They also can be caused by the herpes virus. Also, don't eat too spicy of foods all of the time.
