You don't ask. If she keeps sticking around, and you too, things will evolve. If they don't stick around, then move on. That's how I've always did it.

I asked my girl out by getting her three flowers. I hid a pink rose and had her come sit down by me at the table and she saw the red rose and the white rose. I said, "The white rose stands for purity and trust. The red for passion and love." And I kissed her on the cheek. "And this one," I pulled the pink rose from behind my back, "is what you get when you put all of those thigns together." And I had my class ring tied onto the rose. Okay where did she spend most of her growing up years? Did she have a favorite place at home where she went when things went bad or she just needed to get away as a child. I know that I did and that would be very cool if I could go back and even get proposed to there. I know that you aren't to that stage in your life at all yet but...
You could take her to both of your favorite hangout. Bowling alley...movie...mall...let her have a very fun, perfect night and then when you get done take her out to eat and after you get done eating tell her that you really like her and would like to get to know her more and you would be honored if she would agree to be your girlfriend. by asking her. Trust me, there is no perfect or romantic way to ask a question. Just ask her. To me, being direct is more romantic than sitting there for the next nine weeks trying to figure out a way to ask her, meanwhile, the next guy just ASKS her to be his girl and you're left at square one. Leave the romance for the actual relationship.
