What you are saying is the same as saying someone failed a class because the teacher failed him. No, he didn't do his work, so he failed. I'll tell you what i told someone else.

There are three levels to heaven. There is the Celestial, the spiritual, and the natural. The way it works is, those who, in their lives, lived very pure lives, and focused on God, and pleasing him go to the Celestial heaven. This one is highest up.

Those who were also good people, and did everything they could to help others, they go to the spiritual heaven.

And those who did good only to avoid hell, go to natural heaven.

On the other hand, those who were selfish in life, and did whatever they could to get things for themselves, like cars, money, women, political office, they go to Satanic level of hell. These people cared about themselves more than they did their neighbor.

Those who only cared about themselves, and did not do good unto others or care about the Lord go to the lowest level, which is thr Diabolic.

Life is a lot like a course, the grade you get determines where you will go in the afterlife.

A - Celestial
B - Spiritual >Levels of heaven
C - Natural
--------------------
D - Satanic >Levels of Hell
F - Diabolic

And the thing is, it's not a fiery hell. It is just a place where you fit in most. A lot like the episode of the twilight zone, where the guy only wants to win at the casino, and have women all the time. Well he gets that, and always wins, and always has women. You would think he would be happy, but he is truly not.

Heaven is a lto like earth in that there are jobs and houses and food and so much more, only, its enjoyable.

(This is Swedenborgian theology. It is some heavy stuff. But it sounds right, and feels right. It is a Christian denomination)

Well it all depends on your belief system. I myself do NOT believe in the Christian preached hell , although I do believe In God or higher power, whichever you prefer to call that Dynamic Energy. I think that it just it, The point is to find your own belief system- One that edifies your own soul as well as others around. I mean really there are so many different beliefs,as long as you are not hurting yourself or anyone else ,you will get to the same place..... Which not one of us really know what or where that place is. It is only the chosen belief of each individual that chose that, some say heaven... and hell ,What you say is up to you. Seek within your OWN SOUL to find the answers that will be best for you .It is the matter on personalization that is significant... Your relationship with that in which you believe and only that is relevant in the end.

Dear yawn,

Your premise is that the one and only Diety is #1 sadistic and #2 sends people to hell.

Since I come from a different premise, I cannot aswer your question. For me, God (who for me is Jesus Christ on this earth and afterlife is God), is not sadistic. Our God has released us to make our own choices while on this earth and at times we suffer through hell on earth. We all have free choice in this school called life. Today is the result of choices made yesterday. God want us all to enjoy the abundance he has for all of us.

So maybe this response will wake you up.

Would you rather spend it in the Lake of Fire with a sadistic fallen angel who also thinks that God has no right to send His beloved creatures to Hell? Those are your choices. Believe in Christ for your salvation, or reject Christ and live forever in the Lake of fire.

It's beyond imagination to me how people can judge God and accuse him of being unfair, but that is precisely what Satan has done. His name actually means "Accuser" (of God). You have actually stumbled upon the meaning of life with this question. We are all here on earth to prove that God is righteous and some will accept His provisions for eternal bliss and some will be arrogant and chose a terrible end. The angels are watching this and learning a great deal about mankind and how we think and reason.

You have the wrong definition of God. You do not understand the Gospel nor what the word of God says- obviously. But that is because God is not in you. I hope someday that God will draw you to Him- and open your eyes to his wonderful truth! Because you will not be thinking this question the day you stand before him when he judges the nations.

1 John 2:4
The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Totally true, my friend! And how can anyone support a God who kills everyone, saves a handful and lets the rest suffer everlasting pain for not noticing he was there when he only gave a book and a (possible) son, generally too far in the past for anyone to be able to know anything for sure??

He loves the sinner and hates the sin !!!

Eternal Fire
Jude 7, "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire."

Lake of Fire
Rev. 20:15, "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Our loving God sends no one to hell.
People do that themselves by the own choices, namely, the rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and Messiah.

So you would prefer a sadistic God who forces people like yourself, who have chosen not to spend eternity with Him, to spend eternity with Him against their will??

universalists do not believe in this kind of god.
they came to realize just what you are saying.
that god would not do that. not a loving god.
check into universalism (they have combined with unitarians now who also don't believe in this sort of hell)
there's a minister in tulsa who came to the same realization.
and the trad christians abandoned him. sad.
not all religious people believe in a sadistic deity who sends folks to hell.
