Anything you can squeeze that won't fall apart from the moisture of your piped substance (frosting, deviled eggs, whip cream, etc.). butcher paper is great, parchment paper, some paper bags.. like the freezer quality, sturdy baggies, if you shop at Costco, the bags used for meat are heavy enough..maybe you have one around. You just need to form a bit of a cone by twisting one end tighter than the open end. put your pipe filling in the large end and you pipe from the tight end. If you have a piping tip, great, if not..no problem. The piped product will look fine. Baggies don't need to be twisted, just snip off a corner in the size that you need...small for letters and writing, big for filling deviled eggs. Voila! you have a piped ..something.

cut the corner from a ziptop baggie. I use these all the time. You can also make a cone out of parchment or wax paper. I have even used a small plastic grocery bag in a pinch, but that was once. I have found that you can even put the piping bag tips into the end of the baggie and it works wonderfully.
Good luck.
ps tin foil rolled into a cone would work in a pinch. but try the parchment or wax paper first, tape the sides and dont over fill it.

use a zip-lock bag and you can keep adding the frosting/chocolate if you run out (rather than a plain plastic bag where you must tie a not then untie it-it can get really messy). then cut the tip. simply cut it straight across or do little zig zags. alternativly, some baking paper rolled into a cone shape can work. the top of it should be twisted so the frosting dosnt come out. hope that helps :D

A zip-lock style bag is best because they are thicker and hold up to the manipulations better. You can also use parchment paper turned into a cone and cut the tip for the point or angle you require.

A freezer Zip Lock bag......the freezer bags are thicker than the regular ones, and I punch my piping tips through one of the lower corners and they work just fine.........it's easy to do, don't stress over it......your creation will come out just as if you had used a professional piping bag......

Cut a triangle from the side of a paper bag and form it the same way you would with a parchment paper for the same use.

Any pastry chef knows how to pipe from a parchment cone. Use a triangle of parchment paper to make a cone.
