Well, Jesus said to help people, feed and clothe the poor, right? The Democratic party has more emphasis on welware, programs for the homeless and drug abusers, as well as social security and medicare. The Republican party is funded by and favors large businesses, corperations, and tax cuts to the rich. Oh yeah, the Repubilican party wants to limit free speech and introduce religious-based gov't funded programs - what if they were around in the time of Jesus? They probably would have tried to stop him from preaching, or given all the gov't money to the Jews or something to push their religion instead of his. Which is why we need the Democrats to keep this country secular.

Remember: Jesus was a libral. Do you want to be like Jesus, or all you all just hypocrites?

It depends; there are so many different Christian churches with varying teachings.

eri is a little off however. Republicans' most important platform in individual accountability, which I think is what is God's plan. God gave man the tools and then we have the freedom/agency to decide what to do. The Republicans aren't completely opposed to welfare, but believe people should be weened off of it and be held responsible. Additionally, they believe in lower taxes for everyone, this way there is more money in your hands as opposed to the governments. The people are then free to do with their money as they choose. Republicans are for free trade, again, allowing people to make the best of their product and labor. Republicans are generally done with Affirmative Action, because they feel it is time that everyone should be judged based on their merits, not on their color, race, gender, etc. It is true the Democrats may be more "Christian" in that they are for allowing illegal immigrants amnesty. I guess based on these beliefs, you can decide for yourself.

The democrats wont even admit there is moral absolutes anymore. Some republicans arent much better but if youre looking for Christian conservative canidates, they are mostly on the right. The left has actually become quite hostile to religion.

Neither do, but the Dems., in an effort to produce more votes for themselves, have made 3 coming up on 4 generations dependent on handouts. Yes, Christ told us to help the poor, widows, sick and those in prison. He also said that He helps those who help themselves. Christian 'ethics' is a misnomer in anycase, Christian "morals" is where it's at!

Neither one.

OK, short history lesson - "ethics" is a philosophical idea developed by theh Greeks. It is a way to tell right from wrong *WITHOUT* Divine authority.

But if you're talking about Christian morality, I'd have to say neither. Or both.

Because there's more than one morality associated with Christians. Are you talking about OT morality or NT morality?

Republicans. But it certainly isn't black and white. Republicans are just a better shade of gray. Any party as liberal as Democrats is bound to be in opposition to God's law on various issues.

Republican by far. However it is not a Christian party. Most so-called liberal Christians (people who only think they are Christian) are Democrat.
Both parties are flawed, and both have crooks in them. However the Democratic party is the most unethical and sinister group.

Neither, Jesus could ought to dress like a used automobile salesman and carry out in Minnesota loos and to thrive interior the Republican occasion. He could ought to secretly have a love toddler with Mary Magdelene and do the bankers bidding to be a Democrat. In the two occasion, he'd ought to spend plenty extra time praying interior the temple and making countless delivers.

Jesus himself was a political rebel, opposed to the occupying army in his country, the puppet government placed in charge of them, angry at the complacency of the population and its lazy spiritual practices, and committed to peaceful revolution. The closest political figure I can think of like him is Mahatma Gandhi. There's no-one like that in American politics, which is about two capitalist imperialist parties that probably only differ on whether or not prayer should be enforced in school.

Neither. Both are too caught up in the pursuit of money at the expense of the poor. Both are too caught up in ensuring power for themselves by getting in bed with corporations who destroy the environement. Both are too caught up in scapegoating groups such as homosexuals or unwed mothers for the problems the modern American family are facing. Both ignore the extreme violence that pervades media, because it makes money.
