I think driving less, using public transportation more, or even better walking. I currently walk 2 1/2 miles each way to work. I am getting fitter, saving gas and helping the environment. Its a little thing, but every little bit helps. I suggest to my friends if they are going someplace less than a mile from their house that they walk!

Change your lightbulbs from incandescents (You know, standard bulbs) to Compact Fluorescent bulbs. Saves a tremendous amount of energy. 66% less energy, approximately. Make sure you get good ones, with a color temperature (measured in degrees Kelvin (K)) 3000 or higher for a soft warm light, and 5000 and above for whiter daylight color.
If it doesn't list the color temperature, put it back! Saying it is "daylight" or "soft white" is not enough.
They are not all created equal! Buy one and try it out before you commit to buying a multi-pack. I wound up buying Sylvania brand bulbs. Don't give up just because you aren't happy with one. Return it. Tell the store to stop stocking it and get another. These will last about 7 times longer than normal bulbs, so choose carefully.
Do that, AND switch to a non-fossil fuel energy provider, like Green Mountain Power.
Go to Green-E.org for more info on alternative providers.
Drive less (keep those tires inflated), ride your bike and walk, and take mass transit! Trains rule!
But the lightbulbs, thats a no-brainer. Go out and do it today.

First study the problem and quit reading they lies about this good earth. CO2 is not a pollution CO2 is what the plants need to live . If u kill all the plants would u be satisfied then??? My opinion is changing fast that the plants will take all kinds of abuse and keep on pumping out oxygen. I think that is a beautiful exchange . If the CO2 has not increased then there is no global warming .

Use less of everything---buy green energy to help power companies convert---drive less---push politicians to support better emissions standards and mileage ratings of vehicles---buy a hybrid car---buy ethanol fuel for your vehicle---reuse things or decide not to buy items needing major industrial processing---put off adding a new addition or building a new house---use less of all materials, esp. manufactured ones---support responsible farming practices---write your congressman---if major industry doesn't cooperate, our government must intervene and force responsible practices on them, there isn't much one person can do unless he is in powerful position of government.
I see farmers all over the US plowing their fields to bury field stubble in the winter. This exposes the darker soils to the sun and eliminates the lighter ground cover. I think it would be better to not have a huge dark mass absorbing heat, but is probably insignificant compared to the amount of CO2 being dumped into the air.
