well i've worked with greyhounds and in my expeirience they moult alot.some one who owns 2 greyhounds down my local feild says there always moulting and when you stroke them it comes out in your hands.i have a whippet x and he moults bad all little fine hairs every where.they are a lovely breed and so gentle but if your friends husband is allergic to dog hair[depending on the severity of the allergy]then it might be adviceable to get a non moulting dog like poodles, bichon frises, etc etc....good luck

I am allergic to some dogs and I have a greyhound. She only moults a little - not enough to affect me. She is a brindle - before I got her, I tried another, white, greyhound in my home which I was very allergic to. The rescue charity will let you have the dog round for an hour or so to see if your hubby has any reaction.
My dog hardly sheds any hair, but my rescue charity told me that apparently the fawn and white coloured greyhnds are the heaviest moulters.

Although Greyhounds do shed, we have found that they seem to shed very little. A rubdown with a damp rag or dog brush will keep the shedding down to a minimum. Greyhounds do not seem to have a "doggy" odor that some breeds do. Because of the lack of odor and their short hair, Greyhounds tend to be better tolerated by people with allergies.

course they do all dogs malt but some much more than others. greyhounds don't malt to a noticable extent like your longer haired dog would. but all the same you will be hoovering bits of hair here and there.

I have 2 Rescued ExRacer Greyhounds and They Shed Very little if at all. They dont even get that Doggie Smell, But I would Tell Your SIL to Bring her Husband to Visit them and see if they make him react.. They are Wonderful Pets!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they moult (shed). However, it's not as noticeable as, say, a husky.
