Like some people have said already, an anti-bacterial ointment (Neosporin) or Chap Stick will help. I sometimes use Soft Lips balm (I think that's made by Chap Stick too), even though it does have the menthol in it, it doesn't burn. Lotion or even diaper cream, believe it or not, will burn.
For the future, use a good brand of tissues. I use Kleenex brand. They have 2 types that are soothing and soft for noses, Aloe & E (vitamin e) or the lotion one.
Also, eating spicy food makes your nose run, so it cleans it out faster. You aren't blowing just a little bit all the time, but a lot all at once.
Good luck, Rudolph! (get it? Rudolph? ...... red nose? ........... okay okay, not funny)

I've had a lot of experience with this because of my own allergies; it sounds weird, but putting Chapstick or a similar lip balm (WITHOUT MENTHOL) on it is a huge help! I'm a fan of "Lizard Lips" because it has lots of beeswax - the oily lip balms don't seem to work as well on actual skin - but they all work better than lotions or creams, in my experience. Feel better soon!

I know, that always happens when my nose runs and I rub it.
I don't know what you can do other than put some lotion on it, and carry some tissues around. Blow your nose instead.

use vaseline, or butt paste. you could also use a rich moisturizer like cetaphil or lubriderm. happens to me often. it really stings. i use lubriderm almost exclusively, doesn't sting going on. also use tissues with lotion in them. it seems to help a little.
