I see a lot of you guy are just so willing to jump in bed with each other. Many of you are willing to start living together at the drop of a hat. Does that mean that romance and courtship are dead? Unbridled sex is the way to go! No wonder marriages are not working today.

I think it also has to do with the fact that WOMEN are now doing what men have been doing for centuries and using men for sex and ONLY sex. WHY WOULD you court someone you've already been with. I KNOW tons of girls who sleep with guys they just met... NOT ME! I have to hold out... I want to make SURE I have a possible future with a guy before sleeping with him. Like that song, Im gonna make you work for it.

Well in fact, what u're describing is true.. But this does not mean that romance is dead... True love always exists and will always be there no matter what... you'll still find romantic people to whom love isn't a game and who does not consider sex as a priority...

Nah, romance is NOT dead..IT may SEEM that us guys can just jump right in bed with a woman and get to it..Well quite the contrary..Its just that we are so skilled and efficent at romance, we get 'em in bed quicker!

More and more guys have smartened up and realized that most of the courtship and romance stuff in done in the girl's favour, that she is the one benefiting the most from it. She has the guy jumping through hoops and giving her all sorts of gifts, but she rarely feels obliged to reciprocate. So it's mostly about her. Her idea of the greatest type of romance is something out of the Titanic movie, where the guy gives up his life so that she can go on living. That may be well and fine for her, but it really sucks for the guy. Why go through all of that effort just to be screwed over, and not in a good way, either.
I don't mind doing special things every so often for a girl I'm devoted to and is devoted to me, but I'm really tired of treating every girl like a princess and not having her treat me like a prince in return, but rather like a servant or a peasant.

Yeah, when ya just can't get any. You have to start thinking of what else to do. For gay or bi men, the solution is easy I think.
Unfortunately for me, I'm straight. Can't even talk to women though mostly. I just want to get with them. Women smile at me sometimes, I don't even know what to do next. Its just been so long since I've been looking seriously.

you are right it is dead for most people but there is a hand full of people that still believe in it. i am one that takes things slow. scared of being hurt again i know a lot of people that like to take it slow for the fear of getting hurt.
