This works like a charm . . . sprinkle some "20 mule team borax" on the carpet before you go to bed. In the morning, vacuum up and fleas will be gone. If they are real bad, repeat in 1 week but usually one dose works. Make sure no pets or kids get in contact before you vacuum up.

Get a really good flea powder for your rugs (not from Walmart) go to Petco, pets plus, or even your vet. Follow the directions to a tea, even using it on your couch and alpholstry, use a good vaxccum to suck it all up and empty the vaccum right away outside!, pick up all laudry and wash it, along with bedding and sheets, in hot water, leave the vaccum out side for a day or two, and then turn it on for a minute before bringing it in. Treat the cat with a flea bath, and then put a flea collar on him. It sucks, I had a similar problem, it was horrible, but I can say this is what worked for me!

the answer is the use of a veterinary licensed flea control product (not a supermarket or shop product as not legally allowed to be strong enough against killing fleas - usually just repel) and a house hold spray to kill fleas and larvae.
if not worked a house flea bomb if done properly should work but if the cats still got fleas so will he house.
there is also a part of the flea life cycle that is very tough and hard to kill these may of hatched.
seek further advise.

Try bombing again, but first get some flea spray(sergeants) from the grocery store spray it all over your floors then bomb again, but this defeats the whole purpose if your cat is still infested. They say if you sprinkle salt on your floor and wait a few minutes and then vacuum this helps, also make sure your cat has a flea collar and there are also treatments for your yard too.

Vacuum like crazy, daily, and wash all bedding and upholstery that you can.
If you sprinkle salt all over your carpets and upholstery and leave it on for a day or two, the fleas will rise to the surface and the eggs will dehydrate. Then vacuum the salt up. It helps. Don't skimp on salt, though, it's actually really inexpensive.
And make sure they're not coming in through poorly sealed areas leading outside, like dryer vents and basement ventilating spaces.

Call an exterminator. Then wash all your linens (bedding, curtains, any dirty clothing, etc) in hot soapy water.
