Three days is not a sufficient time to be sure your house has been cleared of fleas. There are still fleas in the environment, and, providing your cat has access to the entire house, they will disappear quite soon. I use Frontline Plus, which may be the Frontline Combo others are referring to in their posts. I'm in the US, and it may be called by another name elsewhere. If you still have the package, read the inset that came with it, and I'm sure it tells you at what point to expect complete eradication in your house.

By all means, if you want to get all those nasty critters immediately, get one of the spray products and treat your house. The Frontline works more efficiently as the cats normal body movement spreads the product over the surface of your cat's skin. Unlike the products that require a flea to bite to get tainted blood to kill the flea, frontline works like a handy dandy fogger, everywhere your cat lays. Surviving fleas will still try to jump on your cat to feed, but they won't be around to do that for very long.

frontline stopped being effective 2 years ago as I found out to my cost. with 12 cats and 8 dogs, a flea infestation isn't funny. I and my rescue friends now use stronghold. Most of the fleas actually live in the house, in the furniture, cracks in the woodwork, carpet, bedding etc. The frontline would have killed the fleas on the cat but not the 80% living off the cat.

If you have used frontline then the flea you saw will die once it bites the cat. It's the same with any fleas in the house,if you spray the house through any fleas coming into the house will soon die. Also any eggs that are still to hatch out have to bite cat or come into contact with house spray before they die. Thays what I've been told anyhow

frontline is a veterinary prescription medication so is one of the best on the market and very good at killing fleas, mites and ticks. there is also a frontline combo on the market that will help treat the environment as well.
frontline should do the rick but if fleas are still visible i would advise you to do the house with a veterinary household spray to eliminate fleas and the various parts of the life cycle from the environment. it sounds as tho the environment is to blame so defiantly do the house and ensure adequate applicants of the frontline spot on.

Do your cats go outside or do you have any animals that go out and may bring it in?

Maybe the small flea was already there. They should die. The fronline goes into your cats blood and will poison the flea when he bites your cat. I would keep an eye on it. You can get a flea comb and comb through your cats hair and kill some that way too! Good luck!

you additionally can consume a stay tapeworm phase that got here out the cat's butt...whether it may not ensue even once you're asleep and the cat lays on your pillow. human beings usually get tapeworm from stuff it somewhat is already interior the uncooked meat we consume, and this is totally uncommon on the grounds that meat is inspected with the aid of the FDA. you would be watching an infection coming greater probably from wild recreation like deer, squirrel and rabbits that have been hunted and killed for human intake. there substitute into that article on line at present a pair of guy in chicago who ate a brilliant style of sushi and have been given a tapeworm from between the uncooked fish products he ate (returned, maximum are inspected with the aid of the FDA, this variation into an unusual occurrance). Fleas do unlike being interior the open, they conceal in crannies and carpeting if not on the cat. grimy dishes at the instant are not likely to be a place fleas could known.

Fleas will still jump on your cat; but depending on which product you use, when they feed they'll either die or lay sterile eggs. Frontline doesn't deter fleas from jumping on!
You still have to keep hoovering the house. You can also get flea traps for use indoors, just google 'flea traps'.

Frontline is'nt as good as they say it is, cos it did'nt work properly on my kitten and he has'nt been out of the house yet cos he's only 4 months old. the vet charged me £20 for a course and it's rubbish. I've been told to give him a garlic Perle every day and the fleas will dissapear, cos the fleas feed on the blood, but don't like the taste of Garlic. A bit like childrens headlice really. It works for that too.
