Do you put it on the bottom or side of cage?

Tie it on the bars of the cage near a perch. on the bottom of the cage it get very dirty. If they break big chunks off put the chunks in a dish on the playgym, buy a new block for the bars.

It is best to keep it off the bottom of the cage as the birds will foul it, tie it to the bars near a perch where the birds can easily get to it. I would refrain from putting any food on the cage floor, cause unfortunately birds really don't care where they soil

on the side of the cage, but not by water or anything else, the bird will get dyed the colour of the minrel block if its by the water, put it above a perch, near the food.
