What are the chances of a Gunners Mate getting stationed on the Great Lakes, if they request it, in the Coast Guard?

I've seen a lot of CG boats running up and down the Detroit River and most of them have guns mounted. I'd think a quick ration of GMs to CG ships to GL CG ships would provide a decent precentage.

YOU NEED TO TALK TO A RECRUITER. For the 12th time.

Quit hosing on here, get off your butt and get the information you want and need. Then make a decision as to what you want to do.

And just for your information, not a great deal of work on the outside for a Gunners Mate. You are not going to fire the weapon every day. If you are not deployed, you will fire the big gun you so much want to play with several times a year.

There aren't many billets on the Great Lakes. There are a few opportunities, but not many. Check the enlisted billet manual or talk to your detailer.
