We have the same color scheme in our living room and the walls are painted a soft light tan. It looks very nice with the brown and blue. Also when picking out pictures for the walls make sure you get something that has all three colors in it to bring out all the colors in the room and tie it all together.

Couldn't get the picture, but that doesn't matter. I think a light/medium light beige would look just fine. Beige would be a good color to accent the color of the furniture and tie in with your light blue carpet. A lighter/medium beige sooth the room down with your dark brown furniture. Blue carpet will add interest to your room. Good choice for carpeting color. Blue is a very comforting color. Tie it all together now you're ready to relax and enjoy. Now don't be falling asleep on that comfy sofa, with the soothing beige and comforting blue. OK, go ahead and take a nap. You deserve it.

My first choice would be white. My second would be an off-white colour with maybe a hint of colour added to give warmth to the room.

Thinking the dark brown furniture and the dark carpet could dominate the room I would suggest that if you followed the light-colour painted walls idea, you could break the plainess up with carefully chosen wallhangings/pictures etc.

Good luck - hope your room turns out lovely

I used Behr.com -- a paint company -- to get the following result. Click on the link to see the screenshot:

The biggest color is the recommended wall color. I know the blue and brown aren't exact, sorry, it's the best I could do. :)

Paint your walls a beige.

Use a bedspread that is that beige, blue, and brown. Try use that multi-color theme in any other bedroom accessory. Drapes, for instance.

Use a wall paper that has blues, browns and offset light colors in it that match the base colors of your room.

I LUV the way tan/or beige look with a dark brown, it makes the room seem bigger! But if you dont like those colors, I would try a soft yellow.

i recommend you paint the wall in a very light colour like ivory or aquamarine...also you can mix both colours..1/2 wall in a medium dark color and the other part in a very light color. suerte

How about a nice raspberry tone or clay pot tone on the walls. You can use the richer hues if you use lots of mood lighting. Also, work on getting lots of texture in the fabrics with the richer tones.

Both are dark. I've would go for the white. It's easier to decorate with accessories and ornament.
