The Penn Foster Veterinary Assistant program is designed to educate the student at entry-level in this field - nothing more. This is not a comprehensive course such as a college program and Penn Foster does not claim it to be. However, this program does offer you an opportunity to gain 200 hours of supervised work experience, has a value of 33.75 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) and puts you in a much better position to be hired than someone with no education at all. There is no educational requirement to be hired as a Veterinarian Assistant. There is no educational requirement to be a parent either. But good parents take time and spend money on resources that help them parent. The same goes here. The idea is to invest in your future and this program is Nationally and Regionally Accredited. Below are links to the Program Outline and the Tuition pages. Make a comparison and decide what is good for you. If it doesn't work for you, that's ok. Either way, don't let the naysayers stop you from your goals and dreams. Best regards and good luck in your research.
