True Islam-- believing in the Holy Quran and following the teachings of the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- is beautiful. I think the politics going on between Sunni and Shia are unfortunate, since both believe in the Holy Book and the same messenger of God. The only real differance is that Shia's believe that imams are saintly and believe that the decendants of Mohammed should have been the caliphs.
I love all Muslims who believe in God and believe God is one. And Islam is misunderstood because of the discriminatory media today, and I hope more people will come to understand it one day.

I feel that it is a religion that is being asked to look inward and realize its values. Christianity,Judaism et al. have fringe elements as do the Islamics.Moderation and tolerance is not only for one but all , its just impossible for some to see? and harder for some to accept?not everyone will be willing to believe your way or interpatation of values. The hard part is to accept the difference and put your values to work.

I love it. It's the best and most righteous way to live. Unfortunately, men choose to follow culture instead of religion, and act according to that only. The men of Islam have given it a very bad name and they really need to live as the Prophet (PBUH) did. If they did this, women would not be oppressed. In Islam, the women literally have the right to kill their oppressors, and that includes oppressive husbands.
