My mom has a dog, and I have a dog. They are two seperate breeds, totally different so they cannot be breeded. My mom's dog is a female teacup poodle, and she knows people with teacup male poodles, and so far has tryed to mate her with both of them dogs, months apart, but only the male dogs were interested, and she was not. She is about 3 years old. Any ideas on how we can get her to mate with another dog?!Please help, we've been trying, but she's a possesive type of dog.

perhaps your dog is really smart and knows that you don't just do this for what you think if fun to have puppies; open your wallet b/c you may have to for vet bills, c section; something wrong with Mom and pup; are you going to clean up daily, several times, screen for good home, train them; if you are asking this question, do yourself and your dogs a favor, and just love them; why travel down a path you know nothing about at the risk of your dog. If she is possessive, imagine giving her pups ; what if she can't or won't nurse , there you both are with droppers hour after hour ; are you prepared to be a puppy mom , 24 x 7 ; is it cute to have her mated ? not really; big responsibility more than bringing two dogs together; that's irresponsible dog ownership. Bored today , lets mate our dog.

She may not be the right candidate for breeding. As they shouldn't have any personality quirks, such as possessiveness. Please just get her spayed...
WHY YOU CAN'T "BREED TEACUPS":
Although totally adorable, and often conformation-perfect,these tiny ones can not and never should be used for breeding! In fact it is almost impossible to predict the size of any set of Chihuahua puppies, depending on the sizes of their parents, no matter how much you have bred Chihuahuas!! Sad but true, a teacup female is to a breeder "a dead end street" for the bloodline! A Wise breeder will make sure their small females are not used for breeding, but spayed. However, these tiny females are much sought after,as strictly pets, and do bring much more money when one is finally available. Most of the time we hold on to them as long as we can, in the hopes they will grow to breeding and showing size. The time, expenses and extra care involved, also the so few that do make it to maturity, for all these reasons, the dog is going to cost more money, up to 2-4 thousand dollars for a female in good health.

you shouldn't breed her at all, because if you have to ask a question like this, you are not a responsible breeder, have no idea what you are getting into and obviously have no idea about hereditary defects, diseases or any number of things that can happen during the breeding and birthing process. Plus, with thousands of dogs and puppies dying everyday because there are not enough homes, you don't need to bring new pups into the world.

the female has to be in heat in order for her to want to be bred,,, the heat last 20 days the first ten days she wont will not except,,, but starting on the 10th day that will be when she will be the most ready,,, when you see that she has started bleeding then you may want to add a couple of days cause alot of people miss the first couple of days,,, and dont pay any attention to the ones that are putting you down for wanting to breed they think they know everything about breeding and probably dont know anything at all about it,,, expecally GetemGang he is very rude and dont have anything nice to say about any of his answers,,, then when she excepts the male the pregancie will last 56 to 63 days from the time that she was bred,,, I really hope this helps and good luck on getting a litter of puppies tea cup poodles are very cute,,,,

She doesnt want to be a mom. Its possible she will abandon the pups. Also dogs do not get periods....More people are aware about teacups (they are more prone to injury and illness) and wont breed or buy them

An what are your reasons on breeding her? Is she papered? HAs she seen a vet, to clear her health, and has she been tested to make sure she isn't carrying anything? If the answer to these are no, then you should not be breeding! Plain and Simble, There are thousands and Thousands of homeless animals in shelters every day. waiting for a hom, please reconsider, and have your dog spayed!

Thank you

It's not uncommon for pampered housepets not to want anything to do with breeding. In that case, she would probably be a poor mother too, preferring to be with your Mom than with her pups.

If she's not interested, it's better to have her spayed.

"Teacup" poodles are nothing more than runts that are given a cutesy name to persuade gullible people into buying undersized dogs which are prone to health problems due to their diminutive size. Please do not perpetuate this travesty by further breeding "teacups".

first off you find a homeless man, buy him massive amounts of beer, get him drunk, take him to your house and tell him your dog is a really hot man
