They think Christians are no fun, but the best part of being a Christian is loving the Lord and doing as He tells you to do, cuz if you don't His whipping are very harsh and I don't want a whipping from the Lord.

I pray that these words I put on here, will help someone to truly see and feel the true God, and enjoy what he does give to those that believe in him, He is my friend, my teacher,my leader, My Father, If I have a need, he takes care of it, If I need to cry, He listens, If im scared, He comforts me, I am not alone, for He is with me always, even when I die,He will be my comfort, I am not ashamed to say I believe, for my heart has felt him, and is filled with the love He has given me, and I have not always been this person I am now, I once was lost, and a mean , hateful person, but now I want everyone to live, and find the love, that God has given me.

I don't think that coming to the Lord to avoid a whipping is the best motivation. Nor is doing what he says just to avoid a whipping. Isn't it better to follow the Lord out of genuine love?

In fact, part of the reason that some don't become Christians might be because some Christians make it seem as you describe. As if they will have to be good or else suffer terrible consequences. I think that is not the case. Rather, one wants to follow the Lord because the Lord is good, not because the Lord is a tyrant.

Sorry...I don't agree with your statement. "The Lord" doesn't whip anyone. You don't say if you consider God or Jesus to be "the lord". First of all, there isn't one Soul called God, "God" is all of us that make up the god force of the universe. "Jesus" was just a regular guy that had extensive training in metaphysics by many special people. Nobody gets whipped.

Personally, (and I'm not saying I'm right) I feel people use religion to hide from pain. Yes, it's great to love and feel belonging, but there's nothing in the world to be afraid of. I don't consider my depression or loneliness to be a burden. It helped me become the man I am today so why should I turn my back on it? With religion, I would have pretended as if my depression were treatable, but it's a part of who I am. I won't deny it so that's why I deny the Lord. I don't need to be sheltered or hidden from the real world.

They are not scared
God gave everyone "Free Will" and with that the right to believe and to have faith in what ever they choose.
Everyone is unique and if we all think the same wouldn't conversations be boring.
To question and to look for your own truth is a gift in itself.
God does not judge you
You are your own Judge, Jury and Executioner
God is about Unconditional Love do you understand what that really means ???????
Maybe you need to research and find some truth to your own questions and more understanding
Only believe half of what you are told and nothing of what you see lol

Love & Blessings

The best part of life is loving yourself! i dont see why you must go searching for something else, love yourself and lead a good life. that is all, the rest is the start of corruption and blindness. asking to the lord to come into the life, is not what people are afraid of. they just prefer to live their life the best way they can. OMG, asking the lord into your life, nothing happens

I asked for Jesus to come into my heart because of love. The love I had realized I was in much need of.I serve him the best I can but am not fearful when I am a mess, like when my child messes her pants.I in love help her,and know that's how
God treats me,I have messed myself and he has always loved me despite the mess. Our actions can have consequences but Gods real heart is to love us and have relationship with us,not to whip us into shape, but to love us into shape.

Why do you assume it's fear? I'm an atheist, I'm quite at peace with my decisions thanks.

I attribute fear to people like you. You live in fear that if you don't obey this fictional book you'll be punished in the afterlife. Your basic belief relies on fear. Hell, God was only invented in the first place for people who were to afraid of admitting there were things they didn't know, that once they were dead, there was nothing else.

Fear is essential to a christians belief. Living without religion is the complete absence of that fear.

With all due respect, it should dawn on you that everyone not accepting *your* lord are not doing so out of fear.

More likely, it is your own fear that keeps you from accepting the fact I don't believe in *your* lord.

Becuase people dont want to live thier lives for someone else, they are self-serving and think that they deserve whatever they want. They think that by being a "good" person, which no one IS good, it gives them the right to live how they want, by satisfying themselves with worldly things. However when things DON'T go their way they want someone else to blame but themselves, so they blame God, asking why he would let such bad things happen, when really, it was the person that caused the thing to happen.
