Try James 2:10... I think that's what implies the "no favoritism" rule, in response to your query. But it's best to read the whole Chapter though.

The verse cited goes:

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

Peace be with you.

Since it says specifically that whisperers will not be able to get into heaven along with a few more, the truth expressed does not say they are all equal. It does say that we are all people who have sinned we all need Jesus. God can not look on even the smallest sin so in that respect sins are equal.

All sins are equal in the sense that if you steal but do not murder, you still sinned. If you murder but do not steal, you still sinned. All sins are equal in God's eyes because any act of disobedience is a sin and any sin is disobedience.

All sins are not equal in the sense that some sins under the law of Moses carried the death penalty while others did not. Yet, one sin – sin against the Holy Spirit - can never be forgiven – not in this life nor in the life to come.

So in one sense sins are equal and yet in another sense, they are not.

Romans 3:23 says that we've all sinned. It doesn't matter what we've done--we're all sinners. It doesn't matter what the sin is, but the fact that we've all sinned. The real issue is whether we ask for forgiveness or not, so in that respect, we either have or we haven't. And if we haven't asked God for forgiveness even though we just stole something and didn't kill someone, in God's eyes, we've sinned and we're just as much of a sinner as a murderer, and subject to the same penalty for our sin if we do not ask for forgiveness. The only unforgiveable sin is attributing the works of God to Satan, for example as the Pharisees did in saying that it was by the prince of demons (Satan) that Jesus cast out demons. They said that about Jesus because they know full well what the truth was but were rejecting it.

All sin seperates us from god because of the fact he's holy. We additionally be attentive to from Romans that "the wages of sin is loss of life". because of the fact of this we choose for jesus' ransom sacrifice for salvation because of the fact all of us sin. on the different hand, once you look on the Mosaic regulation there have been distinctive tiers of punishment based on the sin dedicated. case in point, the son got here upon to be a drunkard and a glutton substitute into to be positioned to loss of life. the three staple products the apostle warned the congregation substitute into to abstain from blood, idolatry and fornication. those are extreme and might smash somebody's status with god if unrepentant. What makes a sin worst isn't neccesarily the seriousness however the degree of wilfulness and in spite of if the guy extremely regrets and needs for occasion geniuine repentance. you notice the difference once you learn the sin of the 1st people, who have been proper, and those we dedicate because of the fact of imperfection, often. consequently the sin that may no longer equivalent in the past god is the only that's unforgiveable, "the sin that incurs loss of life" because of the fact the scripture says. yet another mentions the place each form of blasphemy against the son could be forgiven, yet no longer against the holy spirit. it extremely is while one works intentionally against god's spirit, oftentimes apostasy, that a individual isn't forgiven, no longer wanting any forgiveness from god.

For all me have sinned and fall short of the glory of God-Ro.3:23; For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord-R0.6:23; There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God, they have all gone out of the way; they have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practised deceit. the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes-Ro.3: 10-18, Ps.5:9; 10:7; 36:1. Note that the wages of sin -singular- is death. Same wages, regardless. For our righteousness is like filthy rags in God's sight. Jesus Christ came and died on the cross for the remission of sin. Once again you have evidence that the wages of sin-all sin- is death and that Jesus Christ paid the price on behalf of the repentant. The cleansing power of Christ's shed blood extends to all sins, not just a few sins or certain sins."Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God"- Ro.3:19

Everyone know that telling a little white lie isn't that bad.. But it's still a lie.. How many people do you have to kill to be a murder? And how much do you have to steal to become a theft? So how many lies do you have to tell be be a liar? Ok now that we know the common answer is ONE. Lets look the scripture..

Rev 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

It would seem that God feels that little white lies are as serious as murder..... Jim
