Bernard Hopkins be inducted into both or either the International Boxing Hall of Fame and/or the World Boxing Hall of Fame?
I believe both fighters are ranked in the top 15 all time in their respective weight classes (heavy and middle). The reason I ask this question is there are a few guys and gals who don't think highly of either fighter. Please explain why they belong or they don't belong.

Brent, whoever doesn't think highly of these guys needs to start watching another sport.

Good question sir. Both Holyfield and Hopkins are sure Hall of Famers after their careers are over. After all that each of these fighters accomplished during their careers and yes both would no doubt have to be ranked at least in the top 15 if not a bit higher among the other great fighters in history so I really can't see anyone really with a legitimate dispute over their place in boxing history.

Bernard Hopkins: Over 20 defenses of the Middleweight Title. And the last man to unify them.
Holyfield: undisputed Cruiserweight and Heavyweight Champion.

I think the Boxing Hall Of Fame would be seriously abtuse now to put these two in there.

Holyfield's a sure lock for the Hall Of Fame since he's the only 4 time world heavyweight champion. He's fought the best of the best and beat them.
Bernard Hopkins was one of of the best middleweight champions of all time worthy of a hall of fame career. He successfully defended his title a record 19th successful title defense - an all-time record.

think about it, Holyfield was the undisputed cruiser weight, and heavy weight champion.
4 time HW champion.
He fought every top guy of his era.
he fought Moorer, Bowe, Lewis and Tyson.
none of those other 4 guys can say that, they all missed out on doing that by avoiding each other, for what ever reason, real or perceived.
Bowe never fought Moorer, Lewis or Tyson.
Tyson never fought Moorer or Bowe.
Lewis never fought Moorer or Bowe.

Holyfield fought them all!!!!!! Easily top 10 HW of all time, so many greats at HW, so not easy to place.

Hopkins is easily top 5 middleweight of all time.
one could argue between Hopkins, Hagler and Monzon.
Hopkins after he retired, then went up and beat the champion at 175, Tarver. Now is bulking up to try the heavy weight title!!
Easily HOF'ers!!!

as much as i hate holyfield for spankin' my beloved tyson, the first time, of course he belongs in the hall of fame. for a time he was such an incredible warrior and just kept getting better. i will always question his level of competition - he fought the best of his era, no doubt, but his era could never supplant the 70's,,,,but then what other era could, right? anyways, i say he's a shoo-in. and, as for b-hop...come-on. his longevity alone guarantees him a place at the table. both these guys will most definitely be in the hall one day!
