I am twenty-two and surprised to be infatuated with a gorgeous, gray-haired stranger. I want to ask him out but am worried that he is significantly older than me. It may be a stupid question, but having a crush and asking someone out is already stressful enough!

Thanks everyone! So I guess I just have to do it, as many of you said. Which makes me extremely nervous! I've never approached a man without a good excuse and I have no clue how to do so, but there's something about this man which leads me to try. Wish me luck!

i have a friend who has gone grey and he is only 21, so he could be much younger than you think, if you like him then his hair colour wouldnt/shouldnt scare you off anyways, because he could could be just the man your looking for, good luck, with the asking, go for it!

I had a male friend who was completely gray by the end of the ninth grade. We later ended up living in the same town again after college and we went out on several occasions. Some times we would run into a friend of mine who would ask the next day what was I doing out with such an old gentleman. I would explain to them that he was my age.

So the answer to you question is that this person could be your age and you don't even know it. Give it a shot.

Some thyroid conditions could cause that.

What is the importance of age anyhow? What if you two went out, you had a great time and discovered you had a whole world of common interests. What if you discovered he is the man of your dreams? Would his age really be important? If you felt deeply for him would you want him to be worried about your age?

It is possible but unlikely. A mate of mine was as grey as a badger in his twenties.

But if you really like this stranger, is age really going to be a barrier?

Addition: Okay, good luck!

Some people prematurely gray, in fact I remember a couple of people in high school who had gray hair. If you find this person attractive, it shouldn't matter what their age is. Go for it!

You really can't guess age by hair color. Lots of people go grey early (I started going grey at 14, my mom at 13). I think you're just going to have to ask him.

And so what if he is older?
