I was just wondering, because I once had one on one of my lymph nodes. I remember that it sort of felt like a little hard knot. Does it look sort of like a stone or a calcium deposit or what?

Depends on what it's made up of -- there are different types of cysts.
A cyst is a closed pocket or pouch of tissue. It can be filled with air, fluid, pus, or other material.

I had one removed once,from my shoulder and they showed it to me and it looked like a musroom cloud.
Thank god it didn't explode.
