They are very affectionate, they love touchy ,
feely. They WANT ALL of your attention no matter how many pets you have. They are great with kids.
I'm not sure how good they would be if a burglar broke into you house. I can hear one say " let me help you carry that"

I have two and have had two litters of pups so I am very partial to the breed; I did a lot of research and talked to many owners before I got one; now let me tell you; they are a very social animal and love and need to be part of a family; they are so very smart and are very quick to learn and try to lead if you don't take the reins first; they are lovable; inquisitive, love to run and release their energy and then take a nice long nap; they are sensitive to heat and cold and are not an outside dog, it is like you cut out their spirit to isolate this dog, he needs his family; they need to be challenged b/c they are so smart; I am always inventing new games for them and they get it quickly each and every time ; one boxer is not a barker at all and the other one , only when someone is approaching the yard; they look scary to strangers but are not aggressive and are so lovable ; they are the best! I can't say enough about them.

I have two- a brother and sister. They are about 9 months old. Boxers are very affectionate-they love to lick- and have lots of energy. They are especially good with kids-they are very protective of the children in their family. They also seem to do well with all kinds of other dogs and cats (we have several of both). Overall, they are great dogs.

Boxers are awesome
strong family bond - excellent kid dog - high energy - and know how to settle down - smart !! - they know the difference between someone 'visiting' and someone 'bad'.
they do need a job and are very TRAINABLE
they can and will back up their bark.
crushing bite - lock on.
German bred dogs are bigger - heavier and SHARPER - very good instincts.
American bred - more slender - smaller (usually) and not as instinctive.
VERY quiet & CLEAN DOGS - 10 ish lifespan - susceptible to cancer.
they are my first pick to have again
Best wishes
KC
