I'm a guy and I'm 5' 8" most of the woman I am taller than. Most times the woman are looking for guy 6 feet or taller.. How should I take that? With a grain of salt or they meant what they wrote?

I guess some woman would rather date a fat balding slob at 6' 3" than a fit and trim healthy guy at 5' 8"

I believe it depends on the girl, if you worry about a girl who would be more worried about your height rather then your personalty your looking in the wrong side of the road.

For me, its all about attitude. I'm also 5 8" and if I go out with a guy and wear heels that make me taller and he's insecure, BIG turnoff.
The thing is you have to be a 5 8" guy with a 6' attitude. I truly don't mind shorter guys, as long as they don't seem aware that they are short, or they've accepted it, and they just don't care.
Try having some humour about your height, like saying good things come in small package(wink)

Everyone has a list of traits that are important to them. Some things people are willing to forget, some not. Some of the reason people are single because they care about traits that really aren't important.
I'm 5'7" and single. There's plenty of women who are shorter than me but they seem to want a guy who is taller (as you are finding out).
I don't want women who have been married, have kids or who hasn't graduated college. Those are my hang-ups that some women might find frustrating with me as we are just as frustrated with the height thing. I'd say that the right woman won't care... just keep looking (maybe in the real world).

Really it depends on the individual. I personally find men even shorter than 5 8 attractive as well as much taller. The height is not a total consideration. No I don't want to date you. Just expressing my opinion. Good luck and God bless****

We just like big guys so they make us feel small. It should really come down to the personality of the guy so don't be afraid to answer an ad even if she wants someone 6' or taller. It's just a good start for us:)

It depends on the woman. I personally would like to go out with a guy of about your height, even though I am slightly taller than you, because I'd like a guy who's about my same height. Different women have different preferences.

I've asked most of the girls i've dated what the deal is with tall guys....and its pretty much the same answer across the board...they say they tend to feel more protected or safe with a tall guy...subconsciously its a security thing....you cant change your height but confidence goes a long way bro.....good luck

I guess I just like guys to be taller and bigger than me. 5'8" isn't too short. Either find a girl who likes being with shorter guys, or find a short girl. Better yet, find someone who will like you no matter what!

Plus, quit looking online. Meeting someone in person is always better!

It is funny how we think we have to fit the mold of someone else. If someone is so shallow to think a man has to be 6 ft tall is not someone to be bothered with in the first place. Don't know why you would let something like this be your problem. What other people think of me is none ofmy business.

I look at it this way. If he treats me well, height has nothing to do with it. I am 5'2" and my late husband was 6'3". I prefer a guy 5'2" and up to 6'1" .

Some women don't know when they have a good thing. Just ignore them and go on with your life.
