I have been on BC pills for years now & never missed a period, I have forgotten to take the pills, like a lot of women do but never missed a period. I posted a few questions bout this before but here I am again. A few months ago, say July I screwed up on my pills & I didn't have a period till Sept. I went to the doctor & she said negative that sometimes women just don't have periods nothing wrong just do have one. Well I started a few weeks after that then I messed up again on the pills & I have not have a period since that one in Sept. I took a pregnancy test 3 weeks ago and again today and both was negative. I get sick sometimes, when I wake up or after I eat I get nauseated but not that much. I just don't know what's up with my periods if I am not pregnant. I am not trying to get pregnant but if it happened I would be happy. I know I should get on another form of BC since I can't remember to take the pills. Any clue on what's going on? Serious answers please. Thanks.

You can skip a period or get off schedule for various reasons: stress, life and diet changes, or just screwing up when you take your BC pill.

You may be getting nauseated for chemical reasons, like high or low blood sugar. Get a checkup with your OB and get on another method of birth control if you seriously don't want children.

If you do want kids, then throw out the pills...but make a decision one way or another. It is serious stuff and not to be entered into lightly. Speaking as a mom, make sure you want a child more than anything else in the world before you do it. Then you'll be a better mom for it. If you don't, then wait a little longer, until you want that child with every fiber of your being. If you never want a child that bad, then it is OK just to live child-free.

You can start skipping periods because your body may not be ovulating, and this can be chemical or physical. It doesn't sound like you're pregnant at all. It may be that your hormones are changing, or you could have something else going on. No one can tell for sure with the information you left. I think if I were you, I'd just make an appt with my OB and ask them to check your blood sugar, check for polycystic ovaries and to have your regular pap smear. Then, ask about one of those birth control methods you don't have to worry about, like Mirena.

good luck!

stress. being busy. low weight, loss of large amounts of weight are all things that can affect your period. I would go to the doctor and have a real prganancy test and make sure you are not pregnant. Then if it's an issue to remember to take the pills.ask if the depo shots would work for you. I love mine, I get a shot 4 times a year. hardly a period at all ( which is nice for me and I dont plan to get pregant) and not alot of pms symptoms.
Changes in lifestyles. new jobs. moving. stress can all affect yur period also so take a minute to make sure you are not over doing it and goodluck.
