Probably because you are playing them wrong.
People always imagine that pocket aces are just the most amazing hand ever, but often there is at least a 1 in 5 chance they will get cracked. These odds will get even worse if you are playing against multiple opponents.
You need to isolate a player if you can and go heads up with them. You want to make a nice big bet before the flop, at least five times the big blind. The less you bet the more chance there is that you will get multiple callers to the flop, and that is rarely a good thing.
On the flop you may want to consider more than a pot sized bet, especially if there are scare cards like straight and flush possibilities out there.
It has been said that pocket aces are a hand where you usually win a small pot or lose a large one.
Remember it is probably better to over bet it, drive people out of the hand, and pick up a small pot, rather than under bet it, and end up stuck in a large pot you can't get away from when you are clearly beaten.

Well aces only hold up 2 out of 3 times. Make sure you raise when you have pocket aces to lower your chances of getting beat.

it depends wot level the blinds r at to how people play them...if its at an early stage i would suggest a single raise to attract customers, hoping that somebody will re raise u so that then u can come over the top of them once again hoping by this time that u r going head to head with them...if its a later stage when the blinds are higher & the shorter stacks are more desperate to play a hand, then i would suggest a flat call, again hoping that someone will raise u or go all in...whichever way u look at AA, its an all in hand one way or another, just make sure that u dont play it too slow giving the other players the chance to catch up...be prepared to fold them if u think ur behind & dont 4get, u may start in front but anything can happen when that flop comes...hope this helps

you Must be Playing in Free Games where when you go All in 4 or 5 more are likely to do the same. in which case the odds are stacked that somebody is bout to catch 2 pair.
Try the same thing in a real money game and its a lot different as most will fold. also dont make a puny second bet or some will likely try to make a hand on you
Good Luck :-)

Just the luck of the cards I think. I always find that I get beat with pockets aces but others on the table win with them......just unlucky I suppose

When you get pocket rockets come out as aggresive as you can do at that time. Do so until at least after the turn and maybe slow down if you feel like it, otherwise keep going with it. Don't back off of it!

It dependswhere you are playing, there are rumours on the internet at different bulletin boards that some sites are fixed to favour high spending players.
I in no way are saying that some sites are doing this, but it is worth, playing on different sites until you find a site that seems to be playing fair.

I'm thinking you must be going in too strong with your bet....
...don't they call that a tell. Try checking and see if that doesn't help. Although nothing is etched in stone ...... cause that in itself is telling of your skill level. The experienced players sometimes bluff whatever the hand so their play is not too predictable
