The seeds are the best part! LOL

The two main foods you need to NEVER EVER give your bird are avacado and chocolate. I don't give mine peach pits either.

Otherwise, healthy for you is healthy for them. (Though, I'll admit my babies love cheetos for a treat.)

When I make us a plate, I make them a plate.

If you want to give them something to do that will keep them occupied for hours: give them almonds still in the shell. That gives them a fun puzzle...and then a reward at the end!

Fresh tomatoes are fine as long as they're washed throughly....The seeds are also fine...most seeds in fruit are ok for them like squash, pumpkin, cucumber etc. I do know that apple seed are supposed to be very bad for them, and yes avocado will kill your bird, its fattening too, but the reason is the pit of the avocado emits a toxin that birds can't digest and kills them. Same with other fruits that have pits, like peaches...Peaches are ok to give a bird, but you have to give them the outside of the fruit closest to the skin, the further away from the pit the better! Roasted unsalted peanuts are fine, my Senegal LOVES them!! Mine also eats the shell..its fine as long as its not salted. Raw almonds are also fine as long as they're washed!

Meyers is a beautiful little bird, I used to have a pair but they didn't breed for me, anyway, parrots can eat just about anything
but never give them avocado, it's deadly! Try your birds on some pasta, it's comical to watch them eat and good for them.

I have a Rosella Parrot he is 17 yrs.old and let me tell you if he does not get a taste of our food he will let you know that and also he loves popcorn I give it to him daily but, the point I'm trying to make is he is again 17yrs old. So I say it would not hurt them in moderation.

They can have fresh tomatoes, but all nuts must be raw and unsalted. The roasting causes chemical changes in the nuts.
As for cheese, my cockatoo loves it!

Yes, yes, and yes. I've heard that avacado is not good for parots, but don't know for sure. Stay away from milk products, cheese, etc.
