confort her when she has a meltdown. tell her that she is way to good for that stupid guy and that she deserves better. tack her out to eat and bring her roses to make her feel specal.

Have you tried telling her this? Get her a box of Whitman's chocolates. And when you give it to her, tell her you would treat her much better than he does. Ask her if she would like to go to the movies with you and LET HER PICK THE MOVIE.
This last part is very important. If she says no, tell her the invitation is always open in case she changes her mind.
I am a woman with a LOT of experience in these things.

Just be there for her as a friend. You are actually in a very good position to become her next boyfriend. She will share her most intimate secrets with you and cry on your shoulder. You will have 24/7 access to her and eventually she will rebound...hopefully right into your arms.

But if you push her before she's ready, it will backfire. Let her put the moves on you. It will be well worth the wait.

I speak from experience on this, as this has worked for me.

I think you should really let her know how you feel & maybe even try talking to her ex and finding out what the hell his problem is. all girls want is to feel respected and loved and maybe if you showed her what a REAL man is like, she would drop that guy.

Be there for her like you claim you are. Give her time to heal first, before you go spilling your guts for glory. Then take her to a nice dinner and tell her how u feel. The sweetest gestures are the ones that just happen naturally.

i'm sure the last thing she wants at this time is to jump into another relationship...she needs recovery time......also you gotta think she needs her friends to be there for her now more than ever and the added stress of her friend opening up his feelings about her now could be bad.....if you care about her feelings...give her some time

Be kind, be considerate, "be there" for her, be willing to give her the space she needs to get over the guy, and don't be pushy and impatient. Listen a lot.

1st of all she will need time to get over her ex boyfriend but show her in actions that you can be better for her and continue to be supportive of her and show her love
